de Oro Health Board.
What are the basic deliverables?
The work of the committee is mainly advocacy and research.
For the advocacy aspect, it is mandated to organize a one-day Youth Health Conference in partnership
with the city health office and other partners. It aims to gather youth leaders
in school and in the community all over the city to map out strategies and
implement reechoing conferences in their own communities and schools on youth
health. The conference centers on investing in universal health services
through Philhealth at a young age. Other topics are on reproductive health
education and basic healthy lifestyle.
Hand in hand with the City Health Board, the Committee also
engages in research through data gathering and focus groups discussions to give
the health board a more rooted and youth-oriented information as basis of their
policy-making decision.
